Papyrus presents unique challenges. Its organic texture and sensitivity to humidity require care. To maintain authenticity, we float-mounted the papyrus on a deep black mat. This allows the natural torn edges to remain visible. This technique preserves the handmade charm and adds a sense of depth.
Every step used archival materials. Acid-free adhesives and backings prevent deterioration or discoloration over time.
Egyptian Papyrus Framing: A Frame Worthy of Antiquity
Selecting the right frame means balancing subtlety and presence. We chose a gold AMCI frame with an antique patina. This finish mirrors the richness of ancient gilded artifacts. The warm metallic tone complements the reds, blues, and golds.

We used Tru Vue Conservation Clear Glass. It offers 99% UV protection to prevent fading. This ensures every symbol remains as striking as the day it was painted.
