A Celebration of Artisan Craft

Our clients brought us these exquisite hand-painted ceramic tiles, each one uniquely crafted with intricate blue floral patterns reminiscent of traditional Portuguese and Mediterranean design. Their goal was to transform a collection of tiles into a cohesive, elegant wall piece — one that would honor the craftsmanship and add depth to their home décor.

Craftsmanship in Presentation

To achieve a museum-quality presentation, each tile was individually floated above the backing board, creating subtle shadow lines and emphasizing their hand-shaped edges. This floating technique enhances the dimensionality and texture of the piece, giving the tiles the appearance of gently hovering within the frame.

The arrangement, with its central focal tile surrounded by complementary designs, was carefully measured and aligned to create visual balance and rhythm — much like a gallery mosaic.

Materials & Design

We selected a rustic wood-toned frame with warm undertones to contrast beautifully with the crisp blue-and-white palette. The neutral linen backing adds softness and texture, allowing the pattern and glaze of each tile to take center stage.

The final result is a perfect blend of artisanal tradition and modern presentation — a statement piece that captures the charm of handcraft and the precision of custom framing.
