Red River Palo Duro Etching 315
Red River Palo Duro Etching 315
Red River Palo Duro Etching 315 is a museum-grade fine art paper made from 100% cotton rag. Its natural warm-white color and gently textured surface give photographs and artwork the appearance and feel of a traditional fine art print.
The surface has enough texture to add character without overwhelming fine details. Compared with a heavier cold-press texture, Palo Duro Etching remains relatively subtle, making it well suited to photographic work as well as reproductions of paintings, drawings, and other artwork.
Despite its matte surface, the paper produces exceptionally deep blacks, smooth gray tones, and rich color. A barrier layer helps keep ink near the surface rather than allowing it to absorb deeply into the cotton base. This helps maintain contrast, detail, and color saturation.
The paper's natural white tone contains no optical brightening agents (OBAs). This gives highlights and lighter colors a slightly warmer appearance, which works particularly well with landscapes, nature photography, portraits, warm-toned black-and-white images, and fine art reproductions.
At 315 gsm and 20 mil thick, Palo Duro Etching is a substantial, heavyweight paper with the feel expected from a premium fine art print. It is acid-free, lignin-free, internally buffered, and OBA-free, making it an excellent choice for conservation-grade and museum-quality printing.
