Red River Palo Duro SoftGloss Rag 315
Red River Palo Duro SoftGloss Rag 315
Red River Palo Duro SoftGloss Rag 315 is a museum-grade photographic paper made from 100% cotton rag. It combines the appearance of a traditional darkroom print with the color, detail, and longevity available from modern pigment inkjet printing.
The lightly textured soft-gloss surface provides a gentle sheen without the strong reflections of a conventional glossy paper. This gives finished photographs a rich, refined appearance while retaining subtle surface character.
One of the paper's strengths is its ability to reproduce deep blacks, smooth gray tones, and saturated colors. A barrier layer between the cotton paper base and the ink-receiving coating helps prevent ink from sinking too deeply into the paper. This keeps blacks dense and maintains strong contrast and detail.
Palo Duro SoftGloss Rag has a warm white base and contains no optical brightening agents (OBAs). This gives photographs a more natural appearance than very bright white photographic papers and makes it especially attractive for black-and-white photography, portraits, landscapes, and fine art reproductions.
At 315 gsm and 16.5 mil thick, it is a substantial heavyweight paper with the feel expected from a premium photographic print. The cotton base and coating are acid-free, the paper is lignin-free, and it is FOGRA certified to ISO 9706 paper-aging standards, making it suitable for conservation-grade and museum-quality printing.
